Where We Plant

Where We Plant Our Trees

Sustainable Recreation is an environmental organization on a mission of Canadian reforestation and protection. Together with our tree planting partners, we plant trees in many regions across Canada, including British Columbia, Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick.

Reforestation is just the beginning. At Sustainable Recreation we are about more than just planting tree’s. It’s about preserving our heritage and protecting our way of life. With our Canadian protection projects, our team is continually seeking out animal habitat and recreation area’s that have been effected by natural disaster or are at risk of closure. We then work to restore natural habitat along migration routes and protect recreation zones such as parks, campgrounds and ORV designated areas.

Migration routes effected by natural disaster in Canada include:

  • Caribou
  • Canada Goose
  • Snow Goose
  • Golden-Crowned Sparrow
  • Dark-Eyed Junco
  • White-Winged Crossbill
  • Lewis’s Woodpecker (endangered)
  • Western Sandpiper
  • Golden Eagle
  • Sandhill Crane
  • McCown’s Longspur
  • Whooping Crane
  • Sprague’s Pipit
  • Bicknell’s Thrush
  • Piping Plover
  • Semipalmated Sandpiper

Together, with the help of our partners and reforestation contributors, we will continue to protect both animal habitat and recreation zones to ensure our biodiversity and way of life for future generations. Thank you for your support in protecting Canada’s greatest natural treasure!
